Jim’s strategic approach and strong relationships with the banking community leads to long-term stability and success for W. M. Jordan and its customers. As a certified public accountant licensed in Virginia, Jim worked for 13 years with “Big 4” accounting firms before joining W.M. Jordan Company as its corporate controller. Today, Jim serves as W. M. Jordan Company’s chief financial officer and its corporate secretary.
A veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration, concentration in accounting, from Christopher Newport University. He graduated summa cum laude in 1993. In 2017, he completed Stanford University’s “Emergent CFO” program and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business’ “CFO Strategic Partnership” program in 2017.
Community groups rely on Jim’s knowledge and sound advice. His civic service includes two terms as a member of the CNU School of Business board of advisors, board chair of the Virginia Living Museum, and past board chair of the Peninsula Fine Arts Center. He is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
