Justin Whitley Celebrates One Year with W.M. Jordan While Embodying Company’s Core Values

PROJECT TAGS:

This month, Project Manager Justin Whitley, LEED AP BD+C, celebrates his one-year anniversary with W.M. Jordan Company in the Wilmington office. While he has been integrally involved in the project management of the Roland-Grise Middle School Renovations, South Bay Inn & Suites and the Stateview Hotel and Conference Center, his achievements extend well beyond our company walls. His commitment to the local community, along with over 17 years of experience in the industry and 11 years of experience in project management, have positioned him as an influential leader in Southeastern North Carolina.

Elected as Chairman of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., Coastal Division for both 2017 and 2018, he has represented Southeastern North Carolina by spearheading the organization of the Coastal Division’s 2017 community outreach project: Little Free Library. Together with the Little Free Library non-profit organization, the Division has been able to secure donations, and construct and install 9 small box-libraries, which have been strategically placed across lower income housing complexes in the community.

In addition to his Chair position for ABC, Justin is currently serving on Cape Fear Community College’s Construction Advisory Council. Consisting of leaders from residential, commercial and specific trade companies, the Construction Advisory Council partners with local school systems and various continuing education firms to identify strategic educational needs surrounding Wilmington’s local construction economy. Dedicated to the continued growth of construction in the region, the Council’s main focus for 2018 will be on advertising for regional construction educational opportunities to facilitate rebuilding the Cape Fear region’s starving labor and technical skill pool.

Fully embodying W.M. Jordan’s commitment to leadership, Justin was also selected for Leadership Wilmington, a program designed to challenge and motivate community leaders to use their leadership skills to work towards the betterment of the local community. During his time with Leadership Wilmington, he has partnered with and become a team leader for First Fruit Ministries, a local non-profit organization, which provides food, shelter and friendship to the poverty-stricken and homeless communities. Instrumental in the organization of and coordination of volunteers, Justin and the entire Wilmington W.M. Jordan team will be volunteering with First Fruit Ministries for Work On Wilmington.
