As we celebrate Administrative Professional’s Week 2021, we turn the spotlight to a few of W. M. Jordan’s administrators who help keep our teams and projects running smoothly. Today, we introduce you to Lisa Taylor, A project administrator in our Newport News, Virginia office.
How did you get into construction? I was looking for a job through the local temp agency and they sent me to W. M. Jordan when they had a need for another project administrator. Totally the luck of the draw but I was very fortunate!
What are your main duties? As a Project Administrator, my main goal is to take care of my teammates. I act as the documents and paperwork liaison between our W. M. Jordan team, our trade partners and our owners and clients.
What do you enjoy the most about your job? I get to meet so many interesting people through my job. I love it! Between my teammates and our trade partners, construction folks are some of the funniest on the planet! I also enjoy being a part of the construction process from start to finish. I’ve learned a lot during my time here. Being on site allows me the opportunity to tour the project often in its various stages of completion and I really enjoy it!
Is there anyone specific who has helped you in your career? Everyone that I have worked with at W. M. Jordan has taught me something in some way, shape or form. I am very appreciative of everything I’ve learned from being a part of this family!
