University Village is mixed-use student housing at Christopher Newport University in Newport News. The complex includes 200,000 square feet of residential space that adds 400 bedrooms, each with a private bath, to CNU's inventory of student housing. The four-story structure offers 26,250 square feet of retail space on the first floor for business catering to student services, including several restaurants and a credit union. The project incorporates a four-story precast concrete parking deck with 416 spaces. W. M. Jordan Company coordinated the design and provided preconstruction services for this project under the Design/Build delivery system. This is the second Design/Build student housing project W. M. Jordan Company has done with CNU; the first was The CNU Apartments in 2002.
