Northrop Grumman Newport News
Newport News, Virginia

For more than twenty years, W. M. Jordan Company has provided construction services to our local shipyard, formerly known as Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company. Early projects included the Modular Outfitting Assembly Building, Chemical Cleaning Facility, Radiological Support Facility, and staging areas for various shipbuilding activities. Through the years our firms continued to work together on such projects as the Virginia Advanced Carrier Integration Center and Downtown Engineering Building, with the support of the City of Newport News Industrial Development Authority.

Today, Northrop Grumman Newport News is the nation's sole designer, builder and refueler of nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and one of only two companies capable of designing and building nuclear-powered submarines. W. M. Company continues this long association with such projects as the Moveable Blast and Coat and MIP/SHT Enclosures, Covered Modular Assembly Facility, and our newest venture, Covered Modular Outfitting Facility. All of these projects support the shipyard's ability to produce world-class aircraft carriers and submarines in our hometown.
