This project is a manufacturing plant for Americast, a company that makes precast concrete and reinforced concrete pipe. Americast has been a leader in the design and manufacture of precast concrete storm drainage and sanitary structures for more than 50 years. The company fabricates concrete pipe manually at the existing plant, located on this site.
W. M. Jordan Company constructed a 84,277 square foot building adjacent to the existing building for an automated production plant. The new building is a pre-engineered metal building with concrete and metal wall panels. The plant includes three overhead cranes and 5,000 square feet of office space.
