W. M. Jordan Company provided preconstruction and construction services for this two-story steel frame medical office building and children's clinic in the Oyster Point section of Newport News. These services included cost estimating, constructability analysis and value engineering. The 43,280 square foot building includes a brick, aluminum curtain wall, and foam panel exterior.
The firm later added a 15,000 square foot Surgery and Hydrotherapy addition. This addition includes a Hydrotherapy Center, two operating rooms and additional support facilities including a conference room. The Hydrotherapy Center has its own entrance with a covered Porte Cochere. The hydrotherapy pool is fully adjustable to allow patients to enter the water safely without ladders or steps. Underwater cameras and viewing monitors enhance diagnostics.
