The Ferguson Center for the Arts is the sparkling crown jewel of Christopher Newport University. Illuminated from within, the glowing glass stair tower and lobby clerestory beckons students and citizens alike to enjoy its world-class performances. A graceful colonnade lights up the boulevard, igniting the imagination and the senses.

National and local talent combined forces to create the center. Pei Cobb Freed & Partners of New York and Hanbury Evans Wright Vlattas & Company of Virginia designed the facility. W. M. Jordan Company constructed the complex in concert with CNU. A shining beacon of knowledge, the Center features three theaters, classrooms, sound-isolated music practice spaces, rehearsal halls, dance studios, costume shops, lighting labs and set design studios.
