 
Tidewater Community College Science Building
W. M. Jordan Company provided construction management at-risk services for the new science education building containing classrooms, laboratories, and a planetarium with retractable rooftop observatory at the Virginia Beach campus. The 70,000 square foot building features oceanography and marine science, geology, biology, anatomy, chemistry, physics, and astronomy labs with specialized equipment, venting, and gasses. Preconstruction services included constructability analysis, scheduling, cost estimating and value engineering. These services continued throughout the design phase while a surcharge prepared the building pad for construction.
