W. M. Jordan Company provided construction management services for Saint Patrick Catholic School, a new campus in Norfolk, Virginia serving 400 students in grades K-8. Located on 16.5 wooded acres, the campus includes 90,000 square feet of usable space in six handsomely designed brick buildings, all organized around a charming "village green."
The two-story classroom building includes 24 elementary and middle school classrooms, full service computer and science labs, and music and art rooms with facilities for preschoolers.
The Media Center and Library offers a computer lab for electronic research, a parent resource center, and a distance learning room for videoconferencing, teleconferencing and various interactive disciplines. Supporting spaces include the Administration Building, a 350-seat performing arts auditorium, 400-seat gymnasium, and a 215-seat dining hall. The campus also offers junior- and regulation-sized lacrosse and soccer fields and regulation-sized baseball and softball fields.
Designed to augment the historical nature of the surrounding area, the buildings feature granite and brick exteriors with architectural precast concrete and copper elements and slate mansard roofing. In addition to construction management, W. M. Jordan Company provided preconstruction services for the project, including cost estimating and value analysis.
