W. M. Jordan Company is providing preconstruction phase services to Christopher Newport University for a new state-of-the-art Liberal Arts building. These services include cost estimating, value engineering, constructability and life cycle analysis, and project scheduling. The new structure is a 120,000 square foot, three-story, multi-use building containing classrooms, offices, and a 150-seat auditorium. Located near the center of campus, the new building will contribute to the creation of a Great Lawn on the 260-acre campus in Newport News.
The Liberal Arts building will provide facilities for the Department of English, Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures, the Department of Communication Studies, the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, Department of History and the Department of Government and Department of Leadership and American Studies.
