W. M. Jordan Company provided The College of William and Mary with construction services to renovate an existing outdoor amphitheater on the shores of Lake Matoaka, on the western edge of campus. Tucked back into the woods, the amphitheater was built in 1946 as the primary venue for the performance of Paul Green's "The Common Glory" and was used for this purpose until the production's last performance in 1976. Since then, the 60-year old outdoor theater has been host to a variety of small concerts and theatrical performances.

Project renovations consisted of reconstruction and restoration of the 1,800-seat amphitheatre, including new restroom and ticket facilities. Completion of the project provided a supporting venue for the upcoming 400th Anniversary celebration of the founding of Jamestown.
