W.M. Jordan Company provided construction management services for the Jamestown
North and South Residence Halls, located on 1.3 acres on Barksdale Field at the
College of William and Mary. The new dormitory is approximately 128,000 GSF
with a 400-bed capacity in two wings. The residence hall includes both suite
and semi-suite style rooms and support spaces including study rooms, meeting
rooms, seminar and computer rooms, and administrative spaces. The design
included "green building" strategies and the project is LEED certified.
The center of the complex features a grassy courtyard with numerous walking
paths. The contract also included a full-sized soccer and lacrosse field for
intramural sports and public use.
