W. M. Jordan Company provided general contracting services to Smithfield Foods, the largest and most profitable pork processor in the world, for an expansion to its corporate offices in Smithfield, Virginia. The expansion added 50,170 square feet of new construction to their campus along the Pagan River.
The expansion included a new three-story building with 16,720 square feet of offices on the second and third floors with covered parking below. The second space is an addition to the main building, with 16,420 square feet of offices on two floors above covered parking. The new additions are finished in brick and architectural precast with slate roofing, to blend with the existing façade.
