This project, dubbed "150 West Main Street," is a new office tower and parking facility in Norfolk. W. M. Jordan Company provided Preconstruction and Construction Management Services for this project. The firm was selected based on their record of Preconstruction Services and experience with cast-in-place concrete structures.
Part of the ongoing revitalization of the downtown area, the building offers 234,000 square feet of build-to-suit office space on ten floors with a penthouse conference facility. A nine-story parking garage for 820 vehicles is located underneath the office space. The second through tenth floors of the parking facility is enclosed on two sides to simulate an office-finished façade. The parking garage is owned by the City of Norfolk, which issued bonds for its construction. Robinson Development Group owns the office space and financed construction of this portion of the project privately.
This project won a 2002 Excellence in Development Design First Honor Award for Best Office Building over 75,000 square feet from The Hampton Roads Association for Commercial Real Estate.
