W.M. Jordan Company was awarded a 2017 Eagle Award for Excellence in Construction by the Carolinas Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). The Excellence in Construction program is a premier competition in the region, recognizing outstanding construction projects by ABC members. Winning buildings are unique, high-profile projects, considered to be the most outstanding projects in the Carolinas.

The Eagle Award, which is the highest of the three award levels, honored W.M. Jordan Company’s AC Marriott Raleigh North Hills project. Located in the heart of Raleigh’s rapidly growing North Hills development, this seven-story, 135-room hotel is one of the first AC Hotels on the east coast. The 82,000 square foot urban hotel caters to the modern business traveler, delivering the signature elements of the AC Hotels brand including the AC sky lounge/bar, and innovative spaces designed to inspire collaboration.

“W.M. Jordan is honored to be recognized by other professionals for our high level of skill and commitment to quality. Communication and collaboration among WMJ, the design team, and owners played a crucial role in our success. We look forward to serving our clients for many years to come,” said Rob Beale, Vice President of W.M. Jordan Company. The Excellence in Construction award recognizes all construction team members – the contractor, owner, architect, engineer and others – who contributed to the successful completion of the project. Projects are judged on a variety of criteria including complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety and cost. The projects are judged by impartial members of the construction industry, including prominent engineers and architects, according to the criteria for each award.

Representatives of W.M. Jordan Company accepted the award at the 16th annual ABC EIC Awards Banquet at the Hilton in Uptown Charlotte, which attracted over 700 guests.
