W. M. Jordan breaks ground at NASA Langley

Groundbreaking

Today, W. M. Jordan Company broke ground at NASA Langley’s Measurement Systems Laboratory, a soon-to-be world-class facility for research and development of new measurement concepts, technologies and systems that enable NASA to achieve its mission in space exploration, science and aeronautics.

The largest of all planned new facilities at 175,000 square feet, it will have about 40 modular research labs for research and development functions such as electronics, lasers, clean rooms and instrumentation. The facility will allow the consolidation of  many laboratories currently dispersed throughout the center.

The $95.6-million lab is the fourth new facility in NASA Langley’s 20-year revitalization plan. The plan calls for demolition of aging structures, rehab of existing buildings and construction of new, energy efficient facilities.
