John R. Lawson II Wins Legacy Award

March 3, 2015

We’re excited to announce that W.M. Jordan Co. President and CEO, John R. Lawson II has been named the recipient of ENR MidAtlantic’s first ever Legacy Award.

Lawson’s father, Robert T. Lawson, helped found W.M. Jordan in 1958. After graduating from Virginia Tech, John joined his father’s company working on crews in the field in 1975 and worked his way up to the helm, watching the company’s annual revenue rise to $400 million and making a lasting impression on mid-Atlantic construction in the process.

In addition to his corporate duties, John is known for his philanthropic efforts and advocacy for education. He co-founded the Myers-Lawson School of Construction at his alma mater, Virginia Tech, and has served on more than 15 organizations’ boards.

Congratulations to John R. Lawson II on this well-deserved accolade.
