W.M. Jordan Company Awarded New $35M Contract with Virginia Tech University

W. M. Jordan Company has been awarded a new $35 million project at Virginia Tech. This 73,275 square foot Classroom Building includes 28 classrooms with auditoria, teaching labs, and lecture rooms. Designed by EYP Architecture & Engineering firm, based out of Washington, DC, this project represents the cutting edge of classroom design with flexible instruction arrangements and classroom spaces. The building will feature state-of-the-art technology, seating arrangements, and communications infrastructure to support effective teaching methods. The new building location site is on the north side campus in the core of instruction activity. The facility will seek to achieve LEED Silver certification. Preconstruction services will begin this month and construction will start in January 2014.
